"Perfect World" (perfect world) a leading online game developer and operator in China, announced that it launched the online game "Zhu Xian" in Malaysia and Singapore today through its partner Cubinet Interactive(s) Pte. Ltd. ("Cubinet").
"Zhu Xian," an MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role-playing game) based on a popular Internet fantasy novel of the same name, has been well-received by domestic online game players since its launch in China in 2007. In January 2008, Perfect World entered a licensing agreement with Cubinet to license "Zhu Xian" in Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand. The move made "Zhu Xian" the Company's third online game to enter the overseas markets following "Perfect World II" and "Legend of Martial Arts."
Of the prospects for "Zhu Xian" in Malaysia and Singapore, Mr. Andy Choe, the CEO of Cubinet, said, "'Zhu Xian' is an online game characterized by Chinese culture, which is generally well received in Malaysia and Singapore. As such, I believe 'Zhu Xian' will be popular with the online game players of the two countries. As Cubinet's cooperation with Perfect World has become more frequent and our mutual understanding has deepened, I believe 'Zhu Xian' will be another success in the Southeast Asian market."
Mr. Michael Chi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Perfect World, commented, " We have been cooperating frequently with Cubinet over the past two years to successfully introduce three of Perfect World's products into the Southeast Asia. The launch of 'Zhu Xian' is another important move in our market expansion plan. I am confident that, through the joint marketing efforts of Perfect World and Cubinet, more online game players can enjoy themselves with Chinese online games."

Perfect World Review
Perfect World is an immensely popular MMORPG in China and has recently been released in the United States. The new International (US) version of Perfect World is now available, which means gamers won’t have to play on the Malaysian servers anymore.
Perfect World has an absolutely gorgeous game world and top notch graphics. Start by selecting one of the three available races; Human, Wing Elves and Beast Kind. Each race has two unique playable. Humans can be either Magicians or Warriors, Wing Elves can become either Archers or Priests and Beast Kinds can become either WereBeasts [Tanks] or Werefoxes [Think Druid]. After selecting your class you’ll be given the choice to customize your character, I strongly recommend you give this a try as Perfect World has a world class character customization. Players can change everything from their skin color to the spacing between their eye brows and female characters can even change their breast size! I actually went out of my way to make my character look as strange as possible and I think I’ve done an excellent job. Just take a look at the closeup screenshot below this review.
Upon making your character and getting started you’ll probably be disappointed to learn that the game doesn’t offer any form of tutorial, but Perfect World isn’t too difficult to learn as the game’s user interface isn’t anything unique. When I first entered the game, I immediately began to grind. I had decided to ignore the quest giving NPCs in town and hack and slash my way through leveling, but I quickly discovered that leveling was extremely slow. There had to be something wrong, as getting to level three took over an hour! I decided to head over to town and check out the game’s questing system and I was surprised to learn that Perfect World actually rewards players for doing quests! Unlike most MMORPGs where questing yields worse experience than grinding, Perfect World encourages questing over grinding. Perfect World’s quests are mostly “Go outside and kill X number of Y monster”, but this isn’t exactly a bad thing, as instead of just grinding, you can grind and complete quests!
Although Perfect World’s questing system gives lucrative experience, the English translations are incredibly poor. NPC dialogue is an absolute joke, as players will have to spend a good few minutes trying to decipher what some NPCs are trying to say, which takes away from whatever story Perfect World attempts to have. One useful feature that Perfect World has is the game’s detailed map. Players can simply select a location on the map, and their avatar will start to run towards it in a straight line. Although this isn’t exactly a breakthrough, it is incredibly useful for long runs.
Another interesting aspect of Perfect World is the game’s massive player run economy and crafting system. The game features an auction house, similar to that of World of Warcraft and a crafting system where players have to collect resources outside town, think mining and herbalism from World of Warcraft. One unique feature about the game’s crafting system is that the game actually rewards you for working on trade skills and harvesting resources by giving you additional experience.
Perfect World also has an interesting skill system. Players gain skill points separate from their actual levels and skill points can be distributed across a Diablo like skill tree. One strange thing about Perfect World is the game’s double jumping ability. The fact that you can double jump isn’t exactly a drawback, but the fact that you can jump 20 feet in the air is definitely a bit strange. Players can actually jump on top of the game’s largest buildings and scout miles ahead by simply jumping. Perfect World simply has so much to offer from flying mounts to a marriage system and is definitely worth trying.
